HFS - SQUEEZE RAMPS

Conventional traditional hoseramps for 150 mm hoses do require a hoseramp height of approximately 200 mm and consequently the hoseramps need to be very long( approx. 2800 mm), in order to have at least one axle of a passengers car on the hoseramp while crossing.

	Squeeze ramp

The HFS - Squeeze Ramps solution does eliminate those problems by introducing a hoseramp that is:

• Only 100 mm high and consequently can be:
• Only two meter long, resulting in:
  A very small ramp angle, allowing higher drive-over speeds.
  Although the traffic circumstances might require slow drive over speeds, during tests with a middle sized car, speeds of up to 50 Km/h have been exercised.

The key factor of the squeeze solution is found in the use of oval shaped middle sections in which the hoses are placed. At the moment the hose is pressurized, the hoses remain pressed in an oval shape. The innovative design of those squeeze-sections allow pressures of up to 20 bar in the hoses.

The pressure loss over the full 2,5 meters width of the ramps amounts to only 0,2 Bar.

Because of the small compact design, considerable less storage space is required for the hoseramps.

One complete (traffic lane) hoseramp set consists of:

• Four identical ramp segments of recycled plastic.
• Three Aluminum identical middle (squeeze) sections.
• Each one of the middle sections consists of 2 identical half-sections.

The Aluminum middle sections of the HFS - Squeeze Ramps are on the top and on the bottom equipped with an anti-slip profile which makes a deployment on dirty or slippery soils more secure. The ramps of the HFS - Squeeze Ramp are standard equipped with handgrips.

Optional available with reflective arrows on the ramp segments, indicating the locations and the driving direction.

• The design of the hose ramp is s such that small vehicle as well as difficult vehicle like large passenger buses can cross the ramp.
